Best Butts of May!

A very active Black-and-White Warbler...from behind!

I STILL haven't finished going through all of the photos I shot during the Biggest Week in American Birding...one of these days...maybe... Butt, I did go through searching for nice booty to share with all of my fellow warped birders! Enjoy!

I wonder how many people did a Google search for butts and ended up here? Sorry!

Another cute little Black-and-White tushy!
This warbly thing is the mascot for Black Swamp...

Blackpoll Warbler.

This is a nice spider butt...with a Black-throated Green Warbler still attached.

This Chestnut-sided Warbler is sharing a lovely song from behind.
The song isn't actually coming from his behind, the photos is of his behind...less confusing, or not?

How often do you get the opportunity to see a Common Nighthawk's obverse?
Not so common, eh?

Golden-winged Warblers move around WAY too fast for me.
I got dizzy trying to get shots of this guy!

This Kirtland's Warbler was the most photographed bird during the bird fest!

You have to sneak up on Magnolia Warblers, they're a little camera shy...

Palm Warbler on the rocks anyone?

A Prothonotary Warbler getting ready to nose dive a juicy bug...

This Red-eyed Vireo was the friendliest I've ever seen!
He was working at eye level and didn't seem to care about us watching.

Warbling Vireos on the other hand...not so friendly...

This is my favorite White-crowned Sparrow shot!
Mwah-ha-ha!

There's plenty more from May...butt I'll leave you with this perky Yellow Warbler...

Life continues...

Everyone is aware of the devastation in the Gulf Coast. It's everywhere in the news and on the internet. Photos like the one on the side of my blog, oiled soaked birds waiting to die. As this disaster is still unfolding, life continues.

I thought it would be a good thing for everyone to see. Through it all, life does go on...

This male Yellow Warbler examines the brood to see who is the hungriest...

And here's the lucky winner of a mouthful of dee-licious bugs!

This little guy seemed to get more than anyone else! Daddy's favorite?

And through it all, mother watches to keep the nestlings safe and secure...
